Bring your family, friends and a brown bag lunch to enjoy under the AJCC's beautiful sukkah in the Lipeles Courtyard a the Alpert JCC. We'll have kid's crafts as well as refreshments! Ushpizot for Sukkot Celebrate our heritage and our harvest by joining together with a multi-generational group of women for Sukkot at the Alpert JCC! Sande Davida Gendel and Phyllis Kenigsberg will welcome women of all ages into the community sukkah so we can sing and nosh and share our memories of matriarchs collective and personal. It is an old custom to invite into a sukkah the memories of important men from our history -- we have just transformed this into a women's experience! We will have short reading on our matriarchs and inspiring women in our history. Feel free to add to our list of Usphizot (guests) by bringing a short reading about your personal favorite woman in Jewish history or in the Bible or even one of your personal matriarchs. Please bring some from the harvest (fresh or dried fruits, foods reminding us of Israel, or any healthy snack) to share. Together we will increase the joy of the season.
